Gloria Baker Memorial Bursary

It was launched in 1998 to honour the memory of the late Mrs Gloria Baker, an outstanding Senior Librarian of Clarendon Parish Library. The Bursary is granted annually to a student of the Department of Library & Information Studies at the University of West Indies, Mona.

Eligibility
Candidate must:-

    1. Be a second or final year undergraduate student of the Department of Library and Information Studies, University of the West Indies, Mona

OR

  1. Be a member of ALJALS pursuing graduate studies at the DLIS. UWI, Mona
  2. Be a Jamaican

Value
The 2012/2013 award is valued at $30,000.00

Obligation
The successful candidate will be required to serve the Jamaica Library Service for one year immediately upon completion of the degree.
